The Guild of Our Lady of Ransom is committed to creating a safe, welcoming and respectful environment for everyone attending the WeBelieve Festival.
Safeguarding is central to our mission and underpins all aspects of Festival life. The WeBelieve Festival operates its own safeguarding arrangements, which are designed to protect children, young people and adults at risk. Our safeguarding procedures are informed by applicable safeguarding legislation and relevant national Catholic safeguarding guidance.
Our Festival Safeguarding Team is available throughout the Festival to provide advice, respond to concerns and support attendees, volunteers and staff.

Parents, guardians and responsible adults remain responsible for the supervision, care and welfare of children and young people attending the Festival, except during designated supervised sessions within The Atrium and Carlo's Teen Tent, where responsibility transfers to the Festival for the duration of the session.
Children attending supervised sessions must be registered in advance (or on arrival, subject to availability) and signed into the session in accordance with Festival procedures.
Please ensure that children know how to contact you during the Festival and that the contact details written on their wristband remain up to date.
If you are worried about the safety or welfare of a child, young person or adult at risk, or if someone discloses a safeguarding concern to you, please contact the Festival Safeguarding Team immediately.
If someone is in immediate danger, or a crime is in progress, call 999 first, then inform the Festival Safeguarding Team as soon as it is safe to do so.
