Operations

Operations

The Operations Team is the backbone of WeBelieve, making the festival happen on the ground, behind the scenes, and in the moments that matter most. From the site team setting up and maintaining the festival space, to hygiene team keeping facilities clean and welcoming, to production crew supporting live audio and visual experiences, and media team capturing the life, beauty, and joy of the event through photo, video, and audio - operations volunteers ensure everything runs smoothly.

What you could be doing:

  • Solving problems around the site.
  • Building and dressing stage areas.
  • Moving stock and equipment around the site.
  • Providing help to participants.
  • Setting up and closing down venues.
  • Operating audio and visual tech. 
  • Operating cameras and mics to capture the festival experience. 
  • Transmitting the festival via social media channels. 

What you will need:

  • Bags of energy, resilience and patience!
  • A positive attitude and cheerful disposition.
  • Physical ability for lifting, carrying and being on your feet most of the day.
  • The ability to follow clear instructions without deviation.
  • To work in a team under the supervision of a Team Leader.
  • Relevant experience if applying for a role in the production or media teams. 

Daily pattern:

  • The team operates between 08:00 and 23:00.
  • Shift lengths will vary from 3hrs to 7hrs depending on the team. You may be required to work a split shift.
  • You will have meal breaks and rest periods.
  • You will be asked to help with set-up and pack-down, leaving when the participants have gone home.

Volunteers must be:

  • Over 18 years of age.
  • A committed Christian, actively involved in a local church.
  • Willing to complete an online registration form.
  • Able to give details of someone in leadership of the church you are currently attending to provide a reference.
  • Willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Certificate through WeBelieve Festival. 
  • On site from 10:00AM Friday 24th July to 12:00PM Monday 27th July, 2026.

Volunteers receive:

  • A pitch on the team campsite (if needed). 
  • Three meals a day.
  • Access to the WeBelieve site and programme. 
  • Spiritual formation from our team of chaplains in the form of a one day retreat prior to the festival.

Hospitality

Hospitality

The Hospitality team ensures every person at WeBelieve feels welcomed, supported, and cared for from arrival to departure. This area includes registration, accessibility support for those with additional needs, and partner hospitality - supporting our partnering organisations as well as the priests and religious (nuns and monks) whose presence and ministry help make the festival possible.

What you could be doing:

  • Greeting and checking-in participants and partners on arrival.
  • Being an enthusiastic and welcoming face when participants or partners ask for help.
  • Resolving queries about the programme and site.
  • Listening patiently and responding professionally if participants/partners are dissatisfied.
  • Thinking on your feet to provide any assistance required by participants or partners.
  • Assisting those with accessibility needs. 

What you will need:

  • Bags of energy, resilience and patience!
  • A positive attitude and cheerful disposition.
  • Physical ability for being on your feet most of the day.
  • The ability to follow clear instructions without deviation.
  • To work in a team under the supervision of a Team Leader.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience of using radios (but not essential as training given).

Daily pattern:

  • The team operates between 08:00 and 23:00.
  • Shift lengths will vary from 3hrs to 7hrs depending on the team. You may be required to work a split shift.
  • You will have meal breaks and rest periods.
  • You will be asked to help with set-up and pack-down, leaving when the participants have gone home.

Content

Content

The Content team helps bring the festival’s programme to life, both on stage and behind the scenes. This includes emcees who provide confident front-of-house stage presence, venue managers coordinating smooth back-of-house operations, the prayer team supporting liturgies and other prayer experiences, and the family team ensuring that content for children and families runs smoothly and joyfully.

What you could be doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of sessions for families and/or teens. 
  • Serving at the altar in our liturgical team. 
  • ‘Running’ between venues ensuring contributors have everything they need to deliver their content. 
  • Overseeing a venue, keeping the programme on track. 
  • Leading sports and games.
  • Hosting evening entertainment. 
  • Front of house emceeing in one of our venues, hosting contributors and audience engagement. 

What you will need:

Welfare

Welfare

The Welfare team is at the heart of creating a safe, welcoming, and well-supported festival environment for everyone on site. This area includes stewarding - supporting and directing participants and assisting first responders - alongside qualified medical volunteers, safeguarding leads who ensure best practice is followed, and team welfare volunteers who care for and support the wider volunteer body throughout the event.

What you could be doing:

  • Resolving queries about the programme and site.
  • Resetting venue layouts and keeping access areas clear.
  • Ensuring venues are safe, hazard-free and within capacity. 
  • Directing the flow of people and vehicles.
  • Playing an active role during an emergency evacuation.
  • Assisting lost children/ vulnerable persons. 
  • Assisting those with disabilities. 
  • Responding to illness, injury and medical emergencies. 
  • Ensuring the safety of children and vulnerable adults. 
  • Supporting the welfare of team members. 

What you will need:

  • Bags of energy, resilience and patience!
  • A positive attitude and cheerful disposition.
  • Physical ability for lifting, carrying and being on your feet most of the day.
  • The ability to follow clear instructions without deviation.
  • To work in a team under the supervision of a Team Leader.
  • Experience of using radios (but not essential as training given).
  • Relevant professional experience if applying to join the medical team (made up of nurses and doctors).

Daily pattern:

  • The team operates between 08:00 and 23:00.
  • Shift lengths will vary from 3hrs to 7hrs depending on the team. You may be required to work a split shift.
  • You will have meal breaks and rest periods.
  • You will be asked to help with set-up and pack-down, leaving when the participants have gone home.

Volunteers must be:

  • Over 18 years of age.
